CRConference Room Notes

Notes from the conference room

Every conference we have helped plan has been decided in a meeting room long before it happened in a ballroom. Someone sketches the seating, someone asks how long it takes to walk to the breakout, and someone else remembers, too late, that half the delegates are flying in that morning. These notes are the minutes we wish we had been handed at the start.

They are written for office managers, HR and communications teams, and association secretariats who organise a seminar or conference now and then, rather than every week. Each note takes one decision and works through it plainly.

Standing item: settle what delegates should leave knowing or doing. Room layouts, track counts and break lengths all follow from that one line.

The notes

How we write them

We keep venue details general and well known, because room inventories and house rules change. Where a venue is named, treat it as an example and check current details with the venue before you commit to anything.

If your delegates are visiting from overseas, the Singapore Tourism Board is a sensible official starting point for visitor information.
